About Holly Everett
Holly was born and raised in Hillsburn, a small fishing village on the Bay of Fundy in Nova Scotia. She lives nearby in Parker's Cove amongst her extended family. Upon completing an accounting course at the Nova Scotia Community College, she has worked as a bookkeeper ever since. She has devoted herself to raising her children and caring for her larger family, and now that the children have grown, she finds more time for her art and photography.
Holly’s interest in photography began as a young child, when she and her mother would explore the shores of the Bay of Fundy near her home. While still a young child, Holly received her first camera, a gift from her mother. Holly credits her mother’s gift and the time her mother spent taking her to the shore for her inspiration in photography.
Her love of God and her passion for life led her on to painting. She can express more of these passions with the bright colours of paint than through photography. She is self-directed in both photography and painting as her love of Creation continues to motivate her to click the shutter or stroke the brush across the canvas.
During the months of May to October Holly displays her art work at the local Farmer’s Market in Annapolis Royal.
